Cancellation & No-Show Policy

At Nureli Medical Group, appointment times are reserved exclusively for each patient. We take this seriously and have a STRICT cancellation and no-show policy.

Providing advance notice when you are unable to attend your appointment allows us to offer that time to another patient in need of care. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us provide timely access to psychiatric services for all patients.

Cancellation Policy

Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.

Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a late cancellation fee of $50 as permitted by applicable law and your patient agreement.

No-Show Policy

A no-show occurs when a patient:

  • Does not attend a scheduled appointment without providing advance notice.

  • Arrives too late to complete the appointment.

  • Is unavailable or cannot be reached for a scheduled telehealth appointment after reasonable attempts by the provider or staff.

No-show appointments may be subject to a no-show fee in accordance with your patient agreement and applicable law.

Telehealth Appointments

Patients are responsible for joining their telehealth appointment or answering their phone (if the visit is over the phone) appointment on time using a compatible device with a reliable internet connection.

Please log in a few minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for any technical issues.

Add our office number, 972-945-8840, so if we call, it won’t go to spam.

If you experience technical difficulties, contact our office as soon as possible so we can determine whether the appointment can proceed or needs to be rescheduled.

Late Arrivals

Patients who arrive late (after 5 minutes for established client visits and 10 minutes for new client visits) may have their appointment shortened or need to reschedule, depending on the provider's schedule and the amount of time remaining.

If there is insufficient time to safely complete your appointment, it may be considered a late cancellation or no-show.

Repeated Missed Appointments

Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may affect our ability to continue scheduling non-urgent appointments.

Patients with multiple missed appointments may be required to:

  • Prepay for future appointments, where permitted.

  • Schedule appointments on a limited basis.

  • Be subject to dismissal from the practice in accordance with applicable laws, payer requirements, and continuity-of-care obligations.

Prescription Requests Following Missed Appointments

Missing a scheduled appointment does not guarantee prescription refills or medication renewals.

Certain medications require ongoing clinical monitoring before they can be safely continued. Patients who miss required follow-up appointments may need to complete an evaluation before medication adjustments or refills can be considered.

Emergencies

We understand that unexpected emergencies occur. If you experience an unavoidable emergency that prevents you from attending your appointment, please notify our office as soon as reasonably possible.

Exceptions may be considered at the discretion of Nureli Medical Group.

Questions

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, or have questions regarding this policy, please contact our office as soon as possible. Our team is happy to assist you in finding another available appointment time.

Thank you for respecting our scheduling policies and helping us provide timely, high-quality psychiatric care to all patients.
